![]() Typical of the Carrera design, the large Arabic numerals also result in a clear appearance and the sandy coloured detail extends further around the dial onto the chronograph hands and the text around the seconds sub dial. The dial is effortless to read with its Superluminova hour and minute hands and day-date feature at 3 o clock painted in an opposing white. This stealthy desert shade is truly stunning and matches perfectly with the brown calfskin leather strap, two features that bring a distressed sophistication to the piece. The aesthetics of the piece don’t deviate too far from the existing models but what is clearly different is the striking 43mm titanium case with black PVD coating and beige coloured detailing. This new TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Black Titanium watch proves to be no exception and remains another eloquent and bold addition to the Swiss brand’s collection. Jack Heuer stated in his autobiography that when he designed the very first TAG Heuer Carrera watch that he wanted ‘a dial that had a clear, clean look’. TAG Heuer released their very first Carrera model back in 1963 and have since released many variations and anniversary editions of the familiar design. Retailing at £3,800, this chronograph model features a new lightweight black titanium case and a distressed desert colour scheme. To mark the 10 th anniversary of the TAG Carrera Calibre 16 Chronograph, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 16 Black Titanium watch was unveiled at SIHH last month and is expected to hit stores very soon. ![]()
